 For walkers and joggers, the Railway Trail lies only a few minutes up Cobb's Hill road. The Surf Side offers 43 guest units arranged in a semi-circle on 4.5 acres of dramatically landscaped oceanfront property. Each unit has a balcony or natural grass terrace and faces either south towards the ocean or in a westerly direction down the coastline, affording the soothing sounds of the ocean and surf to come through your window. This first-class hotle is about 10-15 minutes' drive from Hamilton and 30 minutes from the airport. The hotel is convenient to shopping and entertainment. Natural ambiance, created by the moon, the stars, soft tropical breezes and the fresh scent of garden flowers complements your dining experience in the Palms Restaurant and Bar. Resting on the south shore at the Warwick-Paget Parish boundary-line, the Surf Side beach Club is located 12 miles from Bermuda International Airport. The Island's public bus system stops at Surf Side's main entrance and taxis are readily available. A system of pathways and stairs, bordered by flowerbeds, hibiscus, and oleander, lead to the lower units at 65 feet above sea level and onwards to the private beach. For nature lovers there is a truly inspirational hiking trail which starts at Surf Side's eastern boundary line and meanders happily through scenic open space along the top of the cliff as far as Coral Beach Club. The heart of the complex, the swimming pool, with its spacious sundeck, the bar, and the restaurant lies at about 90 feet above sea level. |
